World Thinking Day

Did you know that today is World Thinking Day?

For those who were in the Girl Guides growing up, that might sound familiar.

World Thinking Day began in 1926, and is celebrated on February 22nd every year by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts

Now, I’m fairly sure many of us are not Girl Guides, and never have been

But that doesn’t mean we can’t get on board with the idea of the day, which is as a day of international friendship.

On World Thinking Day, Girl Guides traditionally “remember, think, celebrate and learn about” Girl Guides in different countries all over the world.

If we replace “Girl Guides” with “people” that sounds like a pretty good way of building connection, doesn’t it?

This World Thinking Day, why not spare a few minutes to think about how connected we already are to the world around us –

In a good way.

If you’ve friends or relatives in a different country, why not use World Thinking Day to get in touch?

Send a message, make a phone call or even schedule a video call with someone and have a chat.

Connect with the people who are important to you.

That’s sure to bring some Mental Sunshine into your life!
