Sound Bath

Last week I invited you to learn something new.

This week’s Mental Sunshine is about trying something new

Like a Sound Bath…

So what is a Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a meditative experience where you lie down on your back in a dimly lit room and immerse yourself in sound frequency,”

These waves are produced by various sources, such as gongs, singing bowls and wind chimes,

It’s not a catchy tune or rhythm like you’d experience at a concert or symphony,

Instead, it’s a carefully selected wash of sound with notable resonance and overtones.

Every cell, organ, and tissue in our bodies, vibrate at their own frequency, and interact with every other frequency to produce life in a wonderful symphony.

However, if these frequencies become out of sync, one can feel as though they are incomplete, which can lead to discomfort and dis-ease.

We can tap in and use the power of sound to support our systems to sync up with the harmonic of our unique vibration.

Immerse yourself in a Sound Bath…

The sound can, in-fact, get quite intense at times although the levels are well within safe limits.

So if you happen to doze off like I did, it soon brings you back around again.

Some of the benefits of a Sound Bath are:

-Calms your body and mind.
-Reduces stress and anxiety.
-Increases focus and clarity.
-Decreases tension and fatigue.
-Boosts your mood and reduces feelings of anger.
-Improves sleep.
-Elevates feelings of spiritual well-being.

I’ve done a couple of Sound Baths now with Cleo & Kerry here in Berkshire and can highly recommend trying it at least once…

Let me know if you’ve ever done a Sound Bath or are looking to try it for the first time.
