Laugh

When was the last time you had a good laugh?

I don’t mean the kind of polite “ha ha yes, that’s very amusing” laugh; I mean full on belly laughing!

Laughing is really good for you.

It actually makes your brain release endorphins, causing you to feel good.

As well as this, it causes you to take in more air which stimulates heart, lungs and muscles.

Laughter is also a really good stress reliever.

A good laugh can fire up and then cool your stress response, leaving you feeling much more relaxed and calm. It helps with muscle relaxation too which can help to relieve some of the physical symptoms of stress.

Hopefully I’ve convinced you that it’s in your best interests to have a good giggle…

But how do you find something to make you laugh?

Don’t worry; I am here to help!

Firstly, this video on Facebook gets me every single time: Crossing the Dyke

Secondly, Lookup comedians such as Tim Vine and Milton Jones. Their streams of one-liners are guaranteed to get you giggling.

Thirdly, come and spend some time with me in front of the camera like these delightful people above who will attest to the fun involved in having your photo taken…

Laughter is the best medicine…

Also, bear in mind that a laugh is always better shared. Maybe watch a good comedy movie or stand-up show with your partner, kids or a friend this weekend – and think of me as you’re laughing your head off!

Have a great weekend – and don’t forget to come and post your favourite photos of the day in our Facebook group!
