Visualising

Happy new year!

I hope you had a wonderful break, filled with all the things you love, and without too much stress.

Here we are at the beginning of a new year, a time when we often make resolutions and try to become a better version of ourselves.

The thing is – and we all know this – hardly anyone ever keeps a new year’s resolution.

In fact, there’s a famous date a few weeks into January by which point it’s roundly agreed that everyone will have given up.

So this year, instead of setting some arbitrary goal you know you probably won’t stick with… why not spend a little time visualising your year instead.

Visualising how we want things to be can be a great way to improve our mental sunshine

But it’s also a great way of planning how we want life to look.

It’s so easy to drift through an entire year without really feeling that we’ve achieved much with our time.

If you spend some time now, thinking about what you want out of this year, how you want it to look – you’ll have something to aim for throughout the year.

This can be as detailed or as loose as you like.

You could think about creating a life you’re able to take a proper holiday from this year.

You could imagine in minute detail what that holiday will look like.

You could visualise yourself getting up at 6 every day and going to the gym – which machines or weights you’ll use, which muscles will grow and so on.

You don’t need to set a specific goal if you don’t want to.

Just stopping to spend a few minutes thinking about how you would like things to be can be very powerful.

When I visualise my 2025 I think about:

  • More time with family and friends
  • Finding more ways to spread joy, confidence, and positivity
  • Swimming an Ice Mile

What are you visualising for your 2025

Whatever it is, I wish you a very prosperous one.
